Christina Fernandez joined Dignity Health in 1995. She brings a background in law, spiritual and palliative care, and mission integration to her current role as Senior Vice President Mission Integration and Spirituality. Her responsibilities include the effectiveness of system initiatives in mission integration (organizational identity, spirituality, ethics and community health) and functional accountability for mission integration and spiritual and palliative care services in Dignity Health’s facilities. Prior to joining the system office, Christina served as Vice President of Mission Integration at St. John’s Hospitals Oxnard-Camarillo, on the executive team as General Counsel at Patagonia, Inc. and as a partner in the law firm of Buchalter Nemer in Los Angeles. Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in history from Stanford University, and a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School. She holds both Masters and Doctorate degrees in Divinity from Sophia Divinity School. She is a board certified chaplain and licensed attorney in the State of California.
